1. Introduction

Welcome to Anchor of Hope (“Organization,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in our programs, use of our services, volunteer activities, website usage, event participation, donations, and any interaction with the Organization. By accessing or using services provided by Anchor of Hope, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

2. Organizational Status and Mission Statement

Anchor of Hope is a nonprofit organization organized under the laws of the State of Florida and operates exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our mission is to assist homeless individuals and families through housing support, emergency assistance, community outreach, and related charitable services while encouraging long-term stability and self-sufficiency.

 

3. Eligibility for Services

Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance into any program or service. Anchor of Hope reserves the right to:

Determine eligibility requirements;
Request supporting documentation;
Approve or deny applications at its sole discretion;
Establish waiting lists; and
Modify program qualifications at any time.

Applicants must provide accurate and truthful information. False, misleading, or incomplete information may result in denial or removal from services.

 

4. Donations and Event Ticket Policy

All donations made to Anchor of Hope are voluntary and non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.

By making a donation, you acknowledge and agree that:
Donations are made freely and not in exchange for goods or services unless specifically stated;
Donations may be used at the discretion of Anchor of Hope in furtherance of its charitable mission;
Donations may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Event ticket purchases may be refundable only if expressly stated at the time of purchase.

 

5. Privacy Policy

Anchor of Hope may collect personal information necessary for applications, donations, volunteer coordination, event registration, and program administration. Information collected may include names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, emergency contact information, financial information, and housing-related information.

Anchor of Hope does not sell personal information to third parties.

We may use secure third-party providers for donation processing, website hosting, analytics, email communications, or event registration. These providers may collect limited information necessary to perform services on behalf of Anchor of Hope.

We take reasonable measures to protect personal information; however, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

Users may opt out of marketing or promotional communications at any time.

 

6. Confidentiality

Anchor of Hope makes reasonable efforts to protect confidential applicant, donor, volunteer, and family information. Access to sensitive information is limited to authorized personnel and used solely for legitimate organizational purposes.

 

7. Volunteer Participation and Conduct

Volunteers participate at their own risk and agree to follow all organizational policies and safety procedures. Anchor of Hope is not responsible for personal injury, lost property, or damages occurring during volunteer activities except where required by law.

Volunteers and participants agree not to:
Engage in unlawful conduct;
Harass, threaten, or abuse others;
Misrepresent the Organization;
Interfere with organizational operations or events.

 

8. Media Release

Participation in Anchor of Hope programs, events, volunteer activities, or outreach efforts may result in photographs or video recordings being used for promotional, educational, fundraising, website, or social media purposes unless a participant submits a written request opting out.

 

9. Intellectual Property

All content, materials, logos, branding, graphics, photographs, documents, and media produced or displayed by Anchor of Hope remain the property of the Organization unless otherwise stated. No materials may be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used without prior written permission from Anchor of Hope.

 

10. Website and Online Platform Use

If Anchor of Hope operates a website, social media page, or online platform, users agree not to:

Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data;
Post harmful, defamatory, or abusive content;
Disrupt or interfere with organizational operations.

Anchor of Hope reserves the right to restrict or terminate access to any online platform at its discretion.

Information provided on the website is for general informational purposes only and may be updated or modified at any time without guarantee of completeness or accuracy.

 

11. Non-Discrimination

Anchor of Hope does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, or any other protected status in the administration of its charitable programs, volunteer opportunities, or services.

 

12. Limitation of Liability

Anchor of Hope provides charitable assistance on an as-available basis and does not guarantee housing placement, financial assistance, or outcomes from participation in any program or service.

Anchor of Hope, including its directors, officers, volunteers, board members, and affiliates, shall not be held liable for damages, injuries, losses, claims, or expenses arising from participation in services, volunteer activities, events, website usage, or organizational programs.

In emergency situations, individuals should contact 911 or appropriate emergency services immediately.

Participation in housing assistance programs does not establish tenancy rights unless otherwise stated in a written agreement.

 

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action arising under these Terms shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located within the State of Florida.

 

14. Modifications to Terms

Anchor of Hope reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Updated versions become effective upon posting or distribution.
